Member of the General Surgery scientific council and head of the programs and training committee, and member of the advisory committee of training and medical education of the Arab Board of Health Specializations.

Technical Advisor to Universal Health Insurance Authority, Egypt. Former Vice President of Health Insurance Organization (HIO) in Egypt for five years from January 2014 to December 2018. Before this, He was the Chief Medical Officer of HIO for a previous three years.

Has several areas of experience as Training and Medical Education, Quality in health care, Healthcare management, Patient Safety and Healthcare financing.

Studied management at American University, Harvard School of Public Health, George Mason University, Indian Institute of management, Flagship Program by World Bank Institute, and National Institute of Public Health of Japan.

Completed Medical Education programs as “Train the Trainer program for Doctors” by the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland, and “Training to Teachers program” & “Training to Teachers Immersion workshop” by Harvard Medical School.

Member of the Advisory Board of Dubai Medical College for Girls, the European Pathway Association, the Editorial Board of the International Journal of Care Pathway, the Egyptian group for Surgical Science & Research (EGSSR) of the Egyptian Society of Surgeons, WHO Health Financing Technical Network Main Community.

He is Harvard Medical School Alumni associate and Lecturer of Healthcare Financing in the Arab Academy of Science, Technology & Marine Transport.
